Thank You Veterans

Thanks to all you veterans for all you do for us.
     Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines…
We can’t thank you enough.
     In the air, on the land, or in the sea,
You’re the greatest force this world has ever seen.
     You’re one great, big, bad, mean fightin’ machine.
We praise our favorite athletes.
     We love our movie stars.
We excuse their bad behavior-
     No matter how bizarre.
But it’s the real heroes that fight our wars.
     You know that’s what they do
In harm’s way, they protect
     Me and you.

I say thanks to all you veterans for all you do for us.
     Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines…

This country has real enemies; you all know who they are;
     The attack on 9-1-1 has left a scar.
But there’s a band of brothers standing in the gap;
     They’ve got a hard job to do.
In harm’s way they protect the
     Red, white and blue.

Your sacrifice we honor;
     You have our gratitude.
And we believe you’ll be coming home real soon.
     And when you’re in the heat of battle;
And your back’s up against the wall.
     Don’t forget were back here prayin’ for you all.
