He Saved My Soul
He Saved My Soul
Lyrics © 2011 by Dennis L. Harrison
Sick at heart and lonely, deep in dark despair,
Thinkin’ one thought only—
That I was goin’ to Hell.
And if I’d say to you, “You’re a lot like me—
You need to heed God’s message;
You need to hear His plea.”
And I know that I’ve been born again.
And that He has made me glad.
I gave my heart to Him,
And He saved my soul. [Repeat]
Brother, won’t you listen?
Won’t you listen to Me?
You’ve been in a prison; the Lord can set you free.
Loose ya from the burden of captivity.
Come to the cross of Jesus;
He will wash you clean.
And I know that you’ll be born again,
And that He will make you glad.
You’ll give your heart to Him.
And He’ll save your soul.
