He Saved My Soul

Sick at heart and lonely, deep in dark despair,
     Thinkin’ one thought only—
That I was goin’ to Hell.
     And if I’d say to you, “You’re a lot like me—
You need to heed God’s message;
     You need to hear His plea.”

And I know that I’ve been born again.
     And that He has made me glad.
I gave my heart to Him,
