Well, I heard my Saviour callin’ — a callin’ from above.
     A question He was askin: “Why don’t you know my Son?”
Yes, you’re stuck in Folsom Prison, but Jesus paid your cost.
     Well, you ain’t seen nothing yet, man—if on that day you’re lost.

Well, I got down in the Bible, and I read about His birth;
     I read about His cruel death and how He left this earth.
Yes, I’m stuck in old Delano; it’s not my final place.
     And my eyes are now on heaven ’cause I accept His grace.

He’s comin’ back to earth some day, and I’ll be heaven bound.
     I’ll lay down this ol’ number for a white robe and a crown.
I’m still stuck in Corcoran Prison, but that won’t always be,
     Soon I’ll be with my Redeemer for eternity.

He’s comin’ back to earth some day, and I’ll be heaven bound.
     I’ll lay down this ol’ number for a white robe and a crown.
I’m still stuck in Folsom Prison, but that won’t always be,
     Soon I’ll be with my Redeemer for eternity.
