America’s Warning

This country has got a blessing
     That comes from the throne of God.
God did honor the Pilgrims’ motives
     When they bowed their knees on Plymouth sod…

Praying, “Father, we are so thankful
     That You saved us from our evil plight.
All we want is religious freedom.
     Help us, Lord, to always do what’s right.”

America, I’m gonna warn you:
     You’d better change your evil ways.
Remember how we were founded,
     And the covenant our fathers made.

We have more wealth and much more freedom
     Than any other country on this earth.
Along the way we’ve got conceited
     And forgot the One that gives us all our worth.

If we continue down this crooked pathway,
     And never call upon His name.
Then destruction will come upon us.
     We’ll all have to face His judgment day.

America, I’m gonna warn you:
     You’d better change your evil ways.
Remember how we were founded,
     And the covenant our fathers made.

My dear brother, won’t you listen
     Before you seal your fate?
Call on Christ;
     You’ll be forgiven, or it will be too late.
