David’s Dance
David’s Dance
Lyrics © 2004 by Jesse L. McCuin
He said,
“Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah.
As David brought the ark, he really felt a spark.
He had to jump and dance; the people saw him prance.
And as he entered the city, his wife showed him no pity.
She tried to put the blame cause David had no shame.
And he said:
“Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”
You’ve got to jump and shout, and let it all hang out.
You’ve got to praise the Lord, and He’ll be your reward.
You’ve got to kneel and pray before the judgment day.
And if you follow His way, you’ll hear the angels say,
And they said:
“Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah, Hallelujah!”
