Crucified Man

Lyrics © 2017 by Dennis L. Harrison/Jesse L. McCuin

Heal the sick; raise the dead.
     Fed five thousand with some fish and bread;
Lame to walk, blind to see—
     Even calmed the Sea of Galilee.

Everybody’s runnin’-Just as fast as they can;
     Something special bout the Crucified Man.

Nailed hands, crown of thorns,
     Bruised and battered, and His body’s torn.
Mocked and scorned, He’s thirsty too.
     “Father, forgive— they know not what they do!

People come a-runnin, just as fast as you can;
     We all can be forgiven by the Crucified Man.

Earth did quake, veil was torn,
     So all of us could be reborn.
Guards shake, bright light,
     Empty tomb gives us eternal life.

People come a-runnin, just as fast as you can;
     We all can be forgiven by the Crucified Man.
