A Place Called Heaven

Lyrics by Dennis L. Harrison

Revelation 4:6
And before the throne there was a sea of glass, likened to crystal.
And in the midst of the throne and around about the throne

Revelation 19, 18, and 21
And the city was pure gold, likened to clear glass
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls,
every gate one pearl.
And the streets were pure gold,
as it were transparent glass.

There is a place called Heaven
Beyond the crystal sea—
Above the moon, the sun, and the stars,
It’s where I long to be.

There is a place called Heaven;
The Bible tells me so.
And when my life on earth is o’er,
I’ll walk on streets of gold.

Since there is a Heaven,
Then there must be a Hell—a place I don’t wanna go.
But by His grace, He took my sins away
On the cross so long ago;

If, my friend, you don’t know the Lord—
His name you’ve never cried.
Just call on Him-the One crucified;
It’s for your sins He died.

It won’t be long till I’ll be goin’ —
That beautiful city I’ll see.
Forever I will rest in peace
Throughout eternity.

If I go before you,
I’ll wait for you, that’s for sure.
But if you go before I do,
Please wait for me on that shore.

There is a place called Heaven
Beyond the crystal sea.
Above the moon, the sun, and the stars,
It’s where I long to be.
