Unconditional Love

Saturday night on the boulevard..
Tryin’ to cruise away your pain;
Searchin’ in the darkness of the neon lights,
But your emptiness always remains.
You need love–unconditional love,
Love–unconditional love.
When it comes to push and shove,
We all have this in common-we all need unconditional love.
Raisin’ four kids on a welfare dime-
Tryin’ to do the best she can.
She’s livin’ with the guilt of the mistakes she’s made,
She’s gonna’ need a helpin’ hand.
She needs love–unconditional love,
Love-unconditional love.
When it comes to push and shove,
We all have this in common-we all need unconditional love.
He’s sittin’ in his cell another lonely night;
It’s getting to him doin’ hard time.
The voices of his victims callin’ out his name;
They’ll never let him forget his crime.
He needs love–unconditional love,
Love–unconditional love.
When it comes to push and shove,
We all have this in common–we all need unconditional love.
And Jesus said,
“As the Father loved me, I also love you.
Abide in My love, abide in My love-
Abide in My unconditional love?”
We need love–unconditional love,
Love-unconditional love.
When it comes to push and shove,
We all have this in common~we all need unconditional love.
Unconditional love–love, unconditional love,
We all need God’s unconditional love.
I’m a-gonna shout it; I can’t live without it!
There ain’t no doubt about it-we all need unconditional love.
