Sunday Morning In The Chapel

By Dennis Harrison

We walked inside the Prison with our
equipment list in hand.
The guard checks on our clearance
And they look through our gig bags.
As we sign in and get our passes,
He says, “Your escort is on his way.”
Another Sunday Chapel service,
That we’ll play.

CHORUS
Sunday morning in the Chapel,
They can love and laugh and sing.
For one lovely hour freedom rings.
Sunday morning in the Chapel,
They’re all in one accord,
Cause by Grace they’ve been forgivin’
He’s unlocked their prison doors…
In the Chapel on Sunday Morn’.

They walk into the service
With a smile on every face.
It’s so amazing.
That in this sad place
They have joy and so much grace.
We bring the Good News Gospel
message every time that we play.
We sing His praises and glorify His
Name!

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE
We hope we’ve brought
The Light into the Dark.
And helped them to
Forget about the past.
We know the Word is strong
And it belongs to everyone
Too bad our time together
Has gone so fast.
Here in the Chapel on Sunday Morn’.

REPEAT CHORUS
