Sounds Like Christmas
Sounds Like Christmas

Sounds like Christmas, sounds like Christmas.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
The doorbell’s ringing; were all singing-
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
Now my wife has got the table set with lots of pretty things,
And my sisters help with dinner-
You can’t believe the food they bring.
Uncle Butch will tell his stories;
He’s the “California Flash”
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
Sounds like Christmas, sounds like Christmas.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
The doorbell’s ringing; we’re all singing-
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
My sons will have the game on; they’ll argue all the way.
“Why don’t we put on Neil Diamond?”
“It’s a wonderful life!” I’ll say.
Then later in the evening those old guitars
We will play-
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
My nephews bring their babies; they’re precious every one.
I’ll read a letter from Aunt Jeanie;
This year they couldn’t come.
Uncle Rich will be caught napping-
Sitting tall up in my chair.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
Sounds like Christmas, sounds like Christmas.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
The doorbell’s ringing; we’re all singing-
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
And to our Lord and Savior, we’ll bow our heads and pray.
I’ll open birthday presents
‘Cause I was born on Christmas Day.
There are three candles lighting up a frosted window pane,
And our family’s traditions will always be the same.
Even though the folks are long gone,
Their memories remain; sounds like Christmas at my home.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
Sounds like Christmas at my home.
