One Set Of Footprints

Last night, It seemed
     like I was walkin’ by the Sea.
When my life flashed a-cross the black sky,
     What does this mean?

Then I noticed two sets of footprints
     as my story scrolled bye,
the Lord was walking be-side me,
     in most of the scenes.

When the very last picture
     flashed a-cross the dark sky
I noticed only one set of foot-prints,
     at all the worst times

This troubled me so,
     I asked the Lord why?
I said why did you leave me?
     Then I started to cry….

I saw
One set of footprints
     when I needed you most
Just
one set of Footprints
     on my stormy coast.
How did I make it,
     You know I was scared,
Please tell me Lord,
     Why weren’t You there?
Why weren’t You there?
     Why weren’t You there?

The Lord replied,
     “I’d never leave you by your-self
all a-lone
     I was always with you,
until the very end!
     When you saw one set of footprints,
In the wet sand
     That’s when I up-held you,
cause you’re my friend.

There was,
One set of footprints
     when you needed Me most,
Just
One set of Footprints….
     on your stormy coast
You never could have made it,
     I knew you were scared
I love you my child,………..
     and I heard your prayers.
I heard your prayers.
     I heard your prayers.

So when your life is troubled
     and things are looking pretty grim
Re-member this little story
     and the message it sends.
the message it sends
     I was always there
I always heard your prayers.
     I lifted you my friend
