Old Man Winter
Old Man Winter

The sun is shining, now the spring has come,
The long cold winter is finally done.
Can’t you hear the robin and old blue jay?
The icy weather has gone away.
Old Man Winter’s been rough on me;
I’m about as weathered as a man can be.
Like a tall oak tree swaying in the breeze,
At times I thought that I would freeze.
And even when my feet got cold,
And I should’ve had on warmer clothes,
I knew the Lord was gonna send His Son
To shine……down on me
And all mankind.
It won’t be long before it’s summertime.
The chilly rain, you know is gone at last.
Things are drying out,
And it’s warmin’ up fast.
The frost replaced by the morning dew;
The clouds are gone, and the sky is blue.
And I say,
Old Man Winter’s been rough on me;
I’m about as weathered as a man can be.
Like a tall oak tree swaying in the breeze,
At times I thought that I would freeze.
And even when my feet got cold,
And I should’ve had on warmer clothes,
I knew the Lord was gonna send His Son
To shine…down on me
And all mankind.
It won’t be long before it’s summertime.
If by chance you’re up against a cold north wind,
And the snow is driftin’ ten feet high.
Remember when the thaw begins,
The ice you’re on gets thin,
Just watch your step, and you will do just fine.
Seasons always change,
The sun will shine,
And you’ll say,
Old Man Winter’s been rough on me;
I’m about as weathered as a man can be.
Like a tall oak tree swaying in the breeze,
At times I thought that I would freeze.
And even when my feet got cold,
And I should’ve had on warmer clothes,
I knew the Lord was gonna send His Son
To shine……down on me
And all mankind.
It won’t be long before it’s summertime.
Old Man Winter move on his summertime.
