His Story

Mary was a virgin girl that found herself with child
Of the Holy Spirit; it wasn’t Joseph’s child.
In a dream the angel spoke to Joseph very clear,
“Fear not. Take Mary for your wife.”
On the road to Bethlehem, they had to pay their tax.
Arriving late, there was no rooms to rest or to relax.
In the lowly stable, Mary gave birth to the child
That would give eternal life.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
God with us on earth.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
We celebrate Your birth.
In the nearby fields, the shepherds watch their flock by night.
Then the angel of the Lord appeared to them so bright.
“Tidings of great joy I bring to you and all mankind-
Christ is born in Bethlehem!”
This shall be a sign to you- you’ll find Him wrapped in rags
Lying in a manger at a stable dark and drab.
Then the Heavenly Host appeared glorifying God most high
Saying, “Peace on earth, good will toward men.”
Immanuel, Immanuel-
God with us on earth.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
We celebrate Your birth.
It came to pass; the angels left the shepherds all alone.
“Let us go to town and see this great thing that’s been shown.”
So to Bethlehem they went to see the newborn King-
That would take away their sins.
They found Him in a stable with the cattle and the lambs.
The Savior of the world was given from the great “I AM.”
Lying in a manger was the hope of all mankind.
On their knees, they worshiped Him.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
God with us on earth.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
We celebrate Your birth.
I never tire of hearing the great story of His birth,
And of His coming kingdom He’ll establish here on earth.
Born to die so man can live with Him eternally-
The King of kings and Lord of lords.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
God with us on earth.
Immanuel, Immanuel-
We celebrate Your birth.
