Ecclesiastes
Ecclesiastes
Narration by Jesse McCuin
Text from “New Century” Holy Bible,
Everyday Study Edition © 1996
All things continue the way they have
been since the beginning.
What has happened will happen again;
There is nothing new here on earth.
With much wisdom comes much disappointment,
The person who gains much
knowledge also gains more sorrow.
Whoever loves wealth will not be
satisfied with it.
This is also useless.
Whatever happens was planned long ago.
Everyone knows what people are like
No one can argue with God who is
stronger than anyone.
The more you say. the useless it is.
What good does it do?
What happens to one happens to all
So people’s minds are full of evil and
foolish thoughts,
While they live after that, they join
the dead.
But anyone still alive has hope;
Even a live dog is better off than a
dead lion?
Be happy while you are young.
Do whatever your heart desires,
Whatever you want to do.
But remember that God will judge you
for everything you do.
“And so my friends, I will say that
helping people find and have a
relationship with God has been
the focus of the ‘Spirit Driven Band’
from its beginning; because that
Relationship is the only thing that is
guaranteed to not be, ‘Chasing after
the wind.’”
