Suicide: Don't Do It
Suicide: Don’t Do It
By Dennis Harrison
The Service was your life,
‘Til that fateful night.
Now you’re feeling the pain,
And You’re sure not right.
Oh how you’ve suffered,
And you’ve been confused.
You’re feelin’ damaged
And you’re feelin’ used.
Suicide’s not the answer!
You got into drugs,
But you started with drink.
In hopes that the pain,
Would diminish and shrink.
But it just got worse
And multiplied.
You need Cod’s help, so stay alive!
CHORUS
Suicide’s not the answer!
It would be a disaster!
Suicide is forever!
Don’t do it! Come into the Light!
Don’t do it! Precious is your life!
Don’t do it! Suicide ain’t right.
Don’t tempt the Lord,
But accept His grace.
Everyone’s got trials and
We all make mistakes
It’s a permanent solution,
To a temporary problem.
No issue too big,
Our God can solve them
Suicide’s not the answer!
No matter how sad,
No matter how low,
You’re so far down
With nowhere to go.
He can pick you up,
Good things He’ll show.
When you’re walkin’ with Christ.
You’re not alone! You’re not alone!
You’re not alone.
BRIDGE
Think about the others,
Think about the others.
Think about your future, forget the
past. Dark times won’t last!
So Don’t Do It! Come into the Light.
Don’t Do It! Precious is your life.
Don’t Do It! Suicide ain’t right!
He’s the “Light of Life.”
He’s the “Son of God!”
No problem too great,
No road too hard.
He died for you, He ain’t no fake.
Your premature death
Would be a mistake!
Would be a mistake!
Don’t have all the answers
But I do have a few.
Suicide’s not right and
It’s sure not for you!
