Blessed are the poor in spirit
     For Heaven is theirs.
(Heaven is theirs)
     Blessed are they that mourn
For comfort they’ll have
     (Comfort they’ll have)
Blessed are the meek for thev’ll
     Inherit the Earth. (Inherit the Earth)
Blessed are they for Rightness
     They hunger and thirst.

CHORUS
For they are gonna be filled,
     For they are gonna be filled,

Blessed are the merciful for they’ll
     obtain mercy. (Obtain mercy)
Blessed are the pure in heart for God
     they’ll see. (Cod they’ll see)
Peacemakers are blessed and called the
     children of Cod. (Children of Cod)
Persecuted will be blessed for
     righteousness sake.

Theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven,
